In addition to customizable reports, and the option of direct output to Microsoft Excel ('97 and later) using automation, Mile Manager offers dozens of charts, to give a graphical representation of the various statistics, averages, and summaries that are available throughout the application. Most charts are available with just one or two mouse clicks, from whatever part of the Mile Manager application you are in. Screen shots of typical charts are included on this page.
(Short Explanations Accompany Each Chart)
This is one of many charts available in Mile Manager, that illustrate at a glance the behavior of your vehicles (e.g. family vehicles or a small fleet), with respect to a quantity of interest. In this case, the monthly mileage for each vehicle is charted.

This is a graphical view of just one of several ways of looking at your fuel expenses. You can summarize and view both lifetime and monthly fuel cost by fuel brand, by vehicle, or by fuel purchase method (i.e. gas or credit card.) In this typical chart, you are viewing comparative monthly fuel cost, shown as a fraction of the combined monthly fuel expenditure for all of your vehicles.

As discussed extensively in the Mile Manager application's documentation and tutorial, one of the great sources of flexibility and power in the application, is the ability of the user to define custom "Usage Categories", and store them in your Mile Manager databases. (For a bit more about Usage Categories now, jump to Usage Categories.)
Usage Categories can do several things (depending on how you choose to define them), but are particularly well suited for automatically converting elapsed time and mileage into dollar values, in your trip records. This is very useful for any sort of time and mileage billing or accounting.
Below you see a chart which graphically depicts the monthly average of such dollar values, shown as a fraction of the aggregate montyly value for all categories in a sample Mile Manager database.

As mentioned, one of the applications of custom usage categories is to perform time or mileage billing or accounting. Users who track or bill for mileage, time, or combinations of both, for their trips to clients, locations, or job sites can use usage categories and trips to automate and streamline their billing. (See Billing, for more.)
Here you see an example chart of outstanding billable charges, as tracked for you by Mile Manager, for all custom usage categories defined in a typical user's database.

There are several ways to track and breakdown your mileage in Mile Manager, including by vehicle, by usage category, or even by location visited (for a range of trips to a selected client or destination.) Here you see a chart of lifetime mileage accumulated, in all custom usage categories defined in a sample user's database.

In addition to recording and tracking fuel purchases from the standpoint of vehicle and fuel brand, Mile Manager keeps track of the purchase methods (e.g. gas cards or fuel credit cards) that you use to buy your fuel. You can, for example, find and view all the fuel purchases (with running totals), for your "Texico" gas card (either lifetime, or in a target date range.)
On this chart, you see one of several available graphical viewpoints, that can illustrate your purchase method activity. Here you see the comparative monthly average expenditure shown, as a fraction of the total monthly expenditure for fuel, in all purchase methods in a typical user's database. (Note: as with all records in Mile Manager, the application itself does most of the work for you. That is, you simply enter your fuel purchases on one simple form, and the application takes care of tracking all the cross-references for you, such as maintaining fuel statistics by vehicle, by fuel brand, and by purchase method.)
